It’s finally happening! Kawhi Leonard is set to make his long-awaited return to Toronto this Wednesday. Leonard, who ditched the Raptors for the Clippers back in July, won over the city last year when he helped us win our first-ever NBA Championship. He has since become something of a mythical figure in the GTA and someone many are looking forward to seeing hit court on Canadian soil again.

Emotions are bound to be high during the game, and fans who didn’t score tickets to see it in person will likely be packing into sports bars across the 6ix to watch the Boardman’s return.

However, if you’re sick of paying for pub food and want a more unique experience, you could always head over to the Cinesphere.

That’s right, everyone’s favourite Toronto orb is hosting a free Raptors viewing party event tomorrow, and it is going to be wild.

“On December 11, join Hoop Talks at Cinesphere to watch Kawhi return to Toronto, as the Clippers make their only appearance north of the border! Don’t miss this heavyweight tilt matchup on the 80-foot big screen, with full game audio, prizes, and Raptors trivia. Hosted by Sam Davis,” reads a description by Ontario Place.

The event is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. However, the Raptors don’t play until 7:00 p.m. So you'll have plenty of time to settle in before the game starts.

Thankfully, all fans have to do to attend the special occasion is RSVP ahead of time, which you can do here.

If Kawhi’s return alone isn’t enough of a tearjerker for you, it’s also worth noting that the NBA star will also be getting his Raptors championship ring on Wednesday night.

Fans are being warned to tune into the game by 6:45 p.m., so they don’t miss their former hero being honoured.

The Raptors ended their three-game losing streak last night after a tense match-up with the Chicago Bulls. Hopefully, they can show the Clippers the same kind of heat.
