With week seven underway in the NFL, organizations around the league are beginning to take stock of their respective teams. As the NFL trade deadline day approaches multiple franchises are spending plenty of time at the drawing board to fit the right puzzle pieces together while the second half of the season rears its head. Whether it be in business or in sports, when it comes to trades there is almost always a winner and a loser. This was made evident when all-star cornerback Jalen Ramsey was traded to the Los Angeles Rams this week.
While the Jaguars are not pleased, the Rams are finding it difficult not to smile. From the beginning of the season, Ramsey was not shy about expressing his desire for a pay raise over in Jacksonville. Let's forget that this is the guy who arrived to training camp in a brinks truck, holding a loudspeaker, announcing that the Jaguars better pay him.
The 24-year-old is widely regarded as one of the elite cornerbacks in the league and it has been made apparent that he also felt he had probably outgrown the Jacksonville franchise.
While many in the NFL community might not agree with how Ramsey behaved ahead of this trade being made official, the deal is done and there's no turning back now.
The Rams shared this video earlier today which documents the cornerback arriving to the West Coast and gives a bit of insight into how he felt after the deal was made public.
Rams fans seem to be pleased with this midseason bit of business.
The fans are not the only ones pleased with Ramsey's arrival. Check out these smiles from Friday's practice.
While the Rams find themselves in third place in their division right now, there is still plenty of time to turn things around.
The Rams visit a struggling Atlanta Falcons team Sunday. No better time to begin the comeback.
