The nation is being encouraged to remain indoors and practice social distancing right now to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, and that even includes some of your favorite athletes. Fortunately for us, one particular Inter Miami player, Roman Torres, was given a flashy pedicure during his time at home and shared it on his Instagram stories. And this might be exactly the kind of wholesome content we needed.
While the lack of new sports entertainment is real right now, there have been so many silver linings scattered across social media to keep us entertained these days — from cute cat videos to sneak peeks of our favorite stars enjoying some time in.
We have seen how some of the Miami Heat players have been spending their time away from the court; even ex Heat baller Dwyane Wade has been bringing some laughs with meme-able photos of his baby daughter Kaavia.
But NBA players aren't the only ones sharing what they're doing during the sports break on the 'Gram. Inter Miami soccer defender, Roman Torres, has taken to the platform to share his #stayinghome activities.
The 33-year-old decided to share his home workouts on his Instagram stories, as well as some quality bonding time he's spending with his kiddos. Torres' workouts took a bit of a turn as they revealed the MLS veteran getting a full-on pedicure from his daughter.
While his daughter has the defender's toes covered in bright red nail polish and cotton balls between his toes, Torres' caption translates to, "I hope this quarantine ends soon."
Any Inter Miami player getting his toes painted by a child could be fabulous enough, but think about it: Roman Torres is one big dude. The defender weighs a total of 183 pounds and stands over six feet tall.
Following his wholesome homemade pedicure, the two-time MLS Cup champ topped off his story by joining his daughter for a game of Guess Who. We might just need to break out the dusty box hiding in our games cabinet now to play with the fam.
The MLS suspension is currently set for 30 days, however, ESPN has reported a potential delay for the NBA until mid-to-late June; we'll have to hang tight to see if major league soccer follows suit.
While Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham's dream has been delayed once again, he has come out to say that sport takes a back seat during times like these. He too has been hanging out with his family during the break.
If you don't already, following Roman Torres may fill your feed with some entertaining home vids and workouts to keep you laughing and working on your fitness while on self-lockdown.
