Being a fan of the Miami Dolphins is no easy task. Every year is a roller coaster of emotions that inevitably seems to end in some degree of disappointment. Unfortunately, if some of the predictions for this upcoming season are accurate, it seems 'Dolfans' are in for another rough season.

A little over a week ago, the official team and player ratings for EA Sports' hit football videogame Madden 20 were released. According to the game's ratings, the Dolphins are slated to be one of the worst teams in the league this year.

Yes, Madden is just a videogame. No, the players' ratings will ultimately not affect their performance on the field in any way. However, Madden is not irrelevant. Apart from the game's tremendous following, EA Sport's football game has grown a bit of lore around itself.

Known as 'the Madden Curse,' fans and players of football have grown to believe that any player who makes the cover of the famous videogame, is cursed to have a poor season.

But a cover curse is the least of Miami Dolphins fans' worries right now. Because not only is the Miami football team nowhere near a Madden cover, the team is in fact, the sole proprietor of the lowest team rating in Madden 20.

But wait, the bad news does not end there. Around the same time the Madden ratings were released, Sports Illustrated shared a projection of every NFL team's record at the end of the regular season.

According to Sports Illustrated, the Dolphins' projected record at the end of the regular season is 3-13.

Naturally, Miami fans are not happy with this.

Some fans were particularly upset that Dolphins cornerback specifically, had a low rating.

While we'll have to wait for the Dolphins to take the field on August 8th for their first preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons to get a first glimpse of the team in real life, Madden 20 drops on August 2nd.

Hopefully 'Dolfans' hold out until September 8th, when the Dolphins begin their regular season against the Baltimore ravens before they lose hope for this upcoming season.
