Miami Heat Had To Apologize To Keiser University For Excessively Dunking On Their Rims
Ball too hard?
The Miami Heat preseason is well underway — and already this new Heat look comprised of Meyers Leonard, Jimmy Butler, and others has begun making headlines. Thankfully for Heat fans, The Miami Heat practiced too hard at Keiser University and are getting the best kind of headlines.
While the team's first training sessions were held at the American Airlines Arena, the Heat has been practicing at Keiser University for the last two days. Judging from the looks of things, Spoelstra and the rest fo his staff are building on some Miami Heat fundamentals: conditioning, work ethic, defense, and more defense.
But that does not mean that the Heat did not find some time to absolutely punish the Keiser Seahawks' rims. So much so, The Heat's twitter had to issue an apology.
Last season was not the Heat's year. However, some new faces and revived team energy has many fans looking forward to this upcoming season. Theand draft pick Tyler Herro has done nothing to diminish team chemistry. If anything, .
Despite the multiple new faces, some things just won't change. One example of this would be the fact that Derrick Jones Jr. seemingly has rockets at the bottom of his shoes.
The former dunk contest finalist has proven that he can get way up there and dunk with the best of them. Judging by this video, the guy may very well be on the way to another dunk contest:
Geez, Derrick. Save some of that for the regular season.
Jones Jr. was not the only one showing out at practice either. Check out Deion Waiters absolutely killing the handles:
These guys are literally trying to out-compete each other and Erik Spoelstra must be delighted. By the end of the day, the Heat really let out their offseason frustrations on the Keiser rims. Heat fans are absolutely loving it, of course.
The Miami Heat kick off their preseason at home against the San Antonio Spurs on October 8th.
