Sporting events bring people together — but there is one in particular that blends racing and camping for the ultimate outdoor adventure. When it comes to camping and RVing, NASCAR fans do it best. The next time you decide to go camping choose the infield of a NASCAR track.
Adventure seekers who enjoy entertainment will find glamping the ultimate summer experience. Three days of camping and races might sound intense, but this is the experience of a lifetime. Leading up to a NASCAR race, fans travel to the tracks to tailgate, party, play games, and enjoy different activities around the venue.
During the Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway, a group of NASCAR fans went camping at the M&M's glampground where they received luxurious tent accommodations and meals catered by nearby restaurants for only $500.
Though some people unfamiliar with the sport will surely think this is pricey, the glamping package had everything fans needed for the weekend including a 12x14 glamorous camping tent, luxurious bathrooms, passes to enter the garages, Wi-Fi, meals from popular local restaurants, appearances by racing personalities, transportation around the tracks and more.
Camping is a popular activity among Floridians but when you combine a race and camping in the middle of the tracks this becomes a real community of sporting fans. The tickets to the M&M's Glampground sold out so fast that the organizers decided to bring it to the Bristol Motor Speedway.
Even though there is no confirmation that the M&M’s Glampground will be brought to the Daytona International Speedway, outdoor adventurers can still purchase an infield campground experience.
It is highly recommended that campers book their tickets promptly as spots sell out fast, even months in advance. If you want a similar experience to the M&M's Glampground you can get more information about camping on the infield in Daytona International Speedway here.
NASCAR fans are passionate, friendly, and chatty, making this sport one-of-a-kind. According to Joe Miragliotta, "Glamping Kentucky is the ultimate way to experience a NASCAR race. PERIOD!"
So if you like hearing the engines roaring while soaking up some Florida sunshine, book a camping site. Recently, I spoke to Megan Georgiane, who attended her first glamping experience and she said, “I’m a fan! I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't expecting it to be so much fun."
And it is fun when there are so many activities and action around the tracks. During the day fans can go shopping, attend a bullfight, or go to a tavern to enjoy drinks.
Instead of heading to another state park in Florida for your next camping adventure, check out a NASCAR track and start your engines!
