The Falcons are off to a 1-2 start and Safety Keanu Neal has been placed on injury reserve due to a torn achilles tendon. That said, this is the NFL and anything can happen. Add that to the fact that Atlanta Falcon fans have just gotten one more reason to root for their Falcons to turn things around this year. Co-host @BarstoolBigCat AKA "Big Cat" from the Pardon My Take sports podcast announced on Monday that he would cut off the tip of his pinky finger if the Falcons win the Super Bowl this season.
Sounds crazy, we agree. Dan Katz, Big Cat for short, has made this bet before, actually. Last year, the podcast co-host made the same bet for the then 0-3 Houston Texans. The Texans actually went on to make it to the playoffs after that terrible start. Thankfully for Big Cat, Houston lost to the Indianapolis Colts in the Wildcard Round of the Playoffs.
Here's the full video of Big Cat's pinky bet for this season.
We like the doubling down aspect of the bet when he mentions he'll tattoo the Falcons' championship on his pinky nub.
According to what fans have expressed on Twitter, Big Cat's pinky ought to be relatively safe.
While it is true that the odds are definitely against the Falcons, there is still a chance.
The Falcons are set to face a 1-2 Tennessee Titans. According to this neat match preview from the NFL Youtube channel, the Falcons are dubbed as favorites to win this weekend.
A win at home paired with a couple more wins against the Texans and the Cardinals and Matt Ryan and company could very well be back on track.
Big Cat's bet would be the icing on the cake for Falcons fans celebrating their first NFL title.
