When you hear the name Colin Kaepernick, everyone has a different reaction. He used to be a star football player, but since his career about three years ago with the San Francisco 49ers, he's been actively working in the shadows. The NFL has confirmed that 11 teams will be attending Kaepernick's workout this weekend, with the Atlanta Falcons being one of them.
Kaepernick's representatives want to make it clear that he still wants to play, and several teams have been in contact with the NFL's office to see what the status is on his comeback.
All 32 teams were invited to his workout in Atlanta, but only the 11 confirmed. These teams include the Patriots, Dolphins, Broncos, Lions, Cardinals, Falcons, Browns, Giants, Jets, Bucs and Redskins. More are expected to come, according to Bleacher Report.
With his workout being in Atlanta, it is a pretty big deal since we all know the Falcons have been riding the struggle bus all season long. Many other fans are curious why their favorite team did not accept the invite because they think Kaepernick will really make a change in football.
People are already making their predictions on where he will end up. One tweet says, "I think Broncos, Bucs and Browns right now would be places where he could immediately come in and make a difference."
Many fans have been putting their two cents in, but honestly, this should light a fire under Kaepernick. People are expecting big things out of him, and would really love to see this great football player back on the field.
Kaepernick himself tweeted the other day, "I’ve been in shape and ready for this for 3 years, can’t wait to see the head coaches and GMs on Saturday," which shows that he is serious about this and ready to get back in the game.
Fans are really getting into this workout, and we are all anxious to see what comes out of it.
