Starbucks Canada Holiday Movie & Drink Pairings Are So Perfectly Festive

'Tis the season! If you were looking for the perfect thing to sip on while watching a festive flick, the Starbucks Canada holiday movie and drink pairings have you covered. There are nine suggestions to elevate your Christmas game this year.

On Twitter, the coffee chain asked people to share their favourite holiday movies using only GIFs and then they'd get a response with the perfect drink to go with it.

However, some of these films have sparked debate about if they're really holiday movies or if they just movies that take place during the holiday season.

Here are nine pairings from Starbucks Canada that you can try out!

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

Starbucks had a very basic drink pairing for this movie: caffeine. That's because "you don't want to wake up with your head sewn to the carpet."

The Santa Clause 2

When watching The Santa Clause 2, you should probably drink hot chocolate since that's what Toy Santa drinks in the movie.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)

Starbucks suggested pairing this live-action remake that became a classic in its own right with the classic Peppermint Mocha hot, iced or as a Frappuccino.

The Holiday

This pairing really takes the spirit of The Holiday into account. Starbucks said that "you'll have to ask someone who is also picking up their order if they'd like to switch beverages."

Harry Potter & The Philosopher's Stone

Most people probably don't consider this a holiday movie since it only has a couple of scenes that take place at Christmas. However, Starbucks still had a suggestion for those watching. You should order a latte then add caramel syrup, toffee nut syrup and cinnamon dolce syrup.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas (1966)

If you're into the original animated Grinch film and not the live-action remake, you can pair it with Cold Brew or as Starbucks called it, "Cold Brew-who."

It's A Wonderful Life

For this one, you should get any holiday beverage because Starbucks said that every time you do, "a barista gets their wings!"

Die Hard

Starbucks said the only thing you have to do is make sure that your drink is a venti "so it will last the length of the conversations you'll endure about whether it counts as a holiday movie or not." That's good advice!

This isn't technically a drink pairing but it goes really well with the movie. The week leading up to Christmas, you should go to every Starbucks you come across and congratulate them for making the world's best cup of coffee.

She is seeking damages of less than $75,000 from the drive-thru incident.

A woman in Texas is suing Starbucks after claiming that she was given the wrong coffee at a drive-thru in Texas and then spilled the hot drink on herself while giving it back.

Mary Simms ordered a coffee from the drive-thru in Tomball, Texas, on April 14, but when she was informed by an employee that her drink was incorrect, the lid came off as Simms went to hand the drink back, causing her to spill coffee on her lap, according to the lawsuit.
