No need to break the bank this Summer, there's plenty to do right here at home.  We all want to have fun and go out for cheap and eat at amazing restaurants while not spending so much money.

Lucky for us this Island is home to a ton of incredible things to do. No boarding pass required. Here are 10 things to do near St. John's this summer that won't cost you an arm and a leg. 

Hiking // East Coast Trail

Get outside and experience hiking in this province. You can not beat these coastal views, and it won't cost you a dollar. There are many trails to explore on the East Coast Trail. What are you waiting for?

Explore Downtown // St. John's 

You'll never be disappointed in an adventure around the downtown area. There's never a dull moment in this colourful, bright city. It's all yours to explore.

Petty Harbour Aquarium // Petty Harbour 

Go below the surface, and see some underwater creatures. It only makes sense to go to an aquarium since we are an Island. 

Bowring Park // Waterford Bridge Rd

Grab the pups and head out for a picnic, or an afternoon of fun in the sun. Either way, Bowring Park is the place to kick back and relax with your pals or 4-legged bestie. 

Mini Golf // McDonald Drive

Get your mini golf on. Just a little friendly competition. If saving your dollars is important this Summer, mini golfing is an affordable solution for you. And a whole lot of fun. It's a win-win. 

Bannerman Park // Military Rd

Being broke isn't much fun, good thing going to Bannerman Park won't cost you a thing. The perfect activity for a sunny day. 

Cape Spear Historic Site // Cape Spear  

It doesn't get any more East Coast than this, by. You can visit any of the Parks Canada sites for free this Summer by visiting pc.gc.ca and applying for a Canada 150 Discovery Pass to help Canada celebrate turning 150. Sounds like a good, affordable plan to us. 

Bell Island 

Take a day trip overseas to Bell Island. If you've got a little travel bug, there's no place better to be a tourist at home. Be sure to make a pit stop at Dick's  Fish and Chips, too. 

O'Breins Boat Tour // Bay Bulls  

All aboard!!! You won't break the bank on this boat tour and you' can see get to see some whales, puffins, and icebergs. Traveling at home is cool, too. The photo ops are ENDLESS.
