Swoop & Sunwing Are Partnering To Get Canadians To More Tropical Destinations This Winter

Two travel companies want to get Canadians away from the snow and the cold this winter and out in the sun and on the beach. A new Swoop and Sunwing partnership makes travelling to Mexico easier for Canadians. So start planning your winter getaway now.

Swoop and Sunwing are partnering up to get Canadians to tropical destinations this winter. The partnership bundles Swoop flights in Sunwing vacation packages for Canadians travelling to Swoop's destinations in Mexico.

"Partnering with a well-respected tour operator who shares our vision of making travel affordable and more accessible is a welcome opportunity for Canadians who want to travel more," said Steven Greenway, president of Swoop, in a press release.

Flights from these packages will depart from Hamilton, London, Abbotsford, Edmonton and Winnipeg which are five of the seven places where Swoop operates in Canada.

The new partnership between Swoop and Sunwing will take Canadians to Swoop's four Mexican destinations, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Los Cabos.

"It's a privilege to be entrusted with carrying Sunwing travellers onboard Swoop flights to our extensive network in Mexico," said Greenway.

A vacation package means booking accommodation, airport transfers, and a flight all at the same time. So when you purchase a vacation package instead of doing everything separately, Sunwing said customers get to select from top-rated resorts with exclusive perks.

All Sunwing packages with Swoop include one complimentary item of checked luggage, airport to hotel transfers, and savings on excursions at the time of booking the package.

"Saving our customers time and money by providing convenient, direct flight services from their local airport has always been a key priority for us," said Andrew Dawson, president of tour operations for Sunwing, in a press release.

Prices of the vacation packages will vary based on the resort, the number of passengers and the date of departure.

Sunwing confirmed to Narcity that the company will continue to look at the partnership to see if there are opportunities to expand to more airports and more destinations.
