For the past seven days, Canada's rate of COVID-19 cases, which is the number of new cases reported per 100,000 people, has inched closer to the United States' rate. 

According to data from the Public Health Agency of Canada as of April 9 for the last week, the case rate per 100,000 people was 133. Meanwhile, the CDC's data from the same day had the U.S. seven-day case rate at 135.8 per 100,000 people.

The Public Health Agency of Canada released new data and modelling on October 30 which included a map of rates of COVID-19 infection.

As of October 27, 34 health regions in the country reported more than 50 cases per 100,000 people in the previous 14 days.
