In completely unsurprising news, the most stolen vehicles in Alberta are all trucks. While that may not shock you, you may want to familiarize yourself with which trucks keep getting stolen so you can watch your back or better inform your next vehicle purchase.
Firstly, of the 10 vehicles that get stolen the most in the province, seven of them are Fords.
The other three are all Dodge, so if you're straying away from the big brands, you might be in luck.

How often your make and model of vehicle is stolen is one of the factors insurers use to set your insurance premium.

At the very top of the list is the 2006 FORD F350 SD 4WD. Four of the others that made the top 10 are just different years of this exact same vehicle.
Other trucks that made the list are the 2017 DODGE/RAM RAM 1500 4WD, two different years of the DODGE RAM 1500 4WD, and two different years of the FORD F150 4WD.
Basically, if you've got one of these big old trucks and you live in Alberta, your insurance might cost a bit more and your truck might just disappear one day.
For the entire country, the most stolen vehicle is a 2018 HONDA CR-V 4DR AWD. Other types include the LEXUS RX350/RX350L/RX450h/RX450hL 4DR AWD and 2018 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER 4DR 4WD.
Looks like Canada is after practicality and reliability whereas Alberta is after trucks and nothing more.
