3. Emily Bett Rickards
Known for: Actress in Arrow, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow
Age: 24
Not only was she born and raised in Vancouver but she also studied acting at Vancouver Film School. She booked her first major role in 2012 in the movie Flicka: Country Pride but has gained notoriety through her role as Felicity Smoak in the TV series Arrow and its three spin off shows The Flash, Vixen and Legends of Tomorrow. Its no joke that most of Canada’s celebrities are comedians. We are really funny people and Seth Rogan is obviously the poster boy for that. If you have never seen the TV show Freaks and Geeks you really need to turn on Netflix right now and watch the entire season. Thank me later. More famously know for his roles in Knocked Up, Superbad, Pineapple Express and many other stoner classics.

You may remember this babe from some of your favourite childhood shows, specifically Are You Afraid of the Dark and Goosebumps. He is most famously known for his roll as Anikan Skywalker in Star Wars: Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.
6. Kristin Kreuk
Known for: Actress in Smallville
Age: 33
Kristin Kreuk landed her first acting gig in a Vancouver based high school drama called Edgemont. Shortly after she was cast as Clark Kent’s first love interest in the TV show Smallville, which was also filmed in Vancouver.
7. Noel Fisher
Known for: Actor on the TV series Shameless, Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2
Age: 32
Noel Fisher most recently played the role of Michelangelo in the 2016 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. He also plays an openly gay character on the show Shameless where he stars with film industry vet William H. Macy.

Born in Vancouver, she attended McGill University in Montreal where she began recording her own music. She was signed to Arbutus Records in 2010 and released her third studio album “Oblivion” in 2012. The album quickly became a success and won Grimes the Juno for Electronic Album of the Year.

Josh Ramsay was born and raised in Vancouver into a family filled with musicians. He gained his success when his band Marianas Trench signed to 604 Records. He also co-wrote “Call Me Maybe” the song that launched Carly Rae Jepsen’s career.

Linus Sebastian created three different technology oriented Youtube channels: Linus Tech Tips, Techquickie and Channel Super Fun which has a combined subscriber base of almost 4 million. This year, Linus Tech Tips was ranked the 12th most watched Science and Tech channel on YouTube.

18. Jacob Hoggard
Known for: Singer/Songwriter in Hedley

Born in Surrey, Jacob Hoggard was dared by his bandmates to try out for the second season of Canadian Idol in 2004, where he came in 3rd place. His band Hedley continues to release albums and tour North America.

Born in the Philippines, Elise Estrada moved to Vancouver with her family when she was four. In 2007 she signed a record contract with RockSTAR Music Corporation which brought her into the spotlight as a musician.
