As 2020 nears its end, it comes time to look at who the American people have admired the most, and it could come as quite a shock to some to find out it was actually President Donald Trump.
The current president along with former First Lady Michelle Obama took the titles of Gallup's "Most Admired Man of 2020" and "Most Admired Woman of 2020."

Votes in favor of Donald Trump
The Gallup poll asked over 1,000 adults across the country who they felt deserved the prestigious titles.
Earning 18% of responses, Trump's victory ended a long 12-year run for former President Barack Obama, who only received 15% of the vote.
Other competitors beat out by Trump include Joe Biden, Elon Musk, Dr. Anthony Fauci and Pope Francis.
The president was able to take this award despite only a 39% approval rating during a Gallup poll two weeks ago.
For the third year in a row, former First Lady Michelle Obama was named "Most Admired Woman of 2020," beating out other big names such as current First Lady Melania Trump and Oprah Winfrey.
Ten percent of Americans named her the winner, while 6% voted for Kamala Harris and just 4% for Melania Trump.
