A tornado warning is in effect across parts of Ontario and people are being asked to take cover immediately.

Environment Canada issued a Tornado warning in Huron-Perth at 4:26 p.m. and a warning for the Grey-Bruce area at 4:44 p.m. today.

On Wednesday afternoon, a Quebec Amber Alert was issued after a two-month-old baby was allegedly abducted.

In a tweet just before 2:30 p.m., the Sûreté du Québec said the child was abducted in the Waterloo area of the province at around 11 a.m. on the same day.

An Ontario man who thought a child had been kidnapped almost caused an Amber Alert to be issued before it was realized that he had just forgotten what car he had been driving.

On Sunday, Waterloo police received a report from an allegedly impaired 49-year-old Fergus man claiming that a white Jaguar a child had been sitting in had been stolen from a parking lot near King Street South and Wellington Street West.

Many Texans received a very strange Amber Alert notification on the morning of January 29, as they were informed of a fictional horror movie character going missing. 

The alert asked citizens to keep an eye out for a 28-year-old red-headed doll standing at 3 feet 1 inch weighing 16 pounds and carrying a huge kitchen knife, named Chucky.
