If you’ve got plans away from home this long weekend, Justin Trudeau wants you to cancel them.
In a new tweet, shared on March 29, the prime minister urged Canadians to consider connecting with friends and family virtually, rather than travelling to visit them.
“Now is not the time to travel,” the PM told Canadians. “If you have plans to head somewhere for the long weekend, cancel them.”
It’s not the first time he’s shared a message like this, previously urging people to cancel any upcoming trips or vacations both inside Canada and abroad.
