An iconic Canadian show has been sweeping up awards season. Now Schitt's Creek has won another one and the cast responded.
The popular comedy took home the prize for best TV series at the 2021 Queerties award show that premiered on YouTube.
Emily Hampshire, who plays Stevie, accepted the award on behalf of the Schitt's Creek cast and said that she is proud to be part of a show that welcomes the message of love and inclusion.
"To be recognized by members of the community is such a meaningful affirmation that others feel the same as us," she said in her acceptance speech.
Hampshire finished by thanking the queer community for being a fan of the show since day one.
Dan Levy also weighed in by taking to his Instagram story to shout out Queerty. He captioned "Thank you @Queerty," followed by a heart emoji.
