There’s a reason Moira Rose’s favourite season is “awards!” Elton John is a huge Schitt’s Creek fan and he proved it on social media ahead of the Golden Globes 2021.
Taking to Twitter and Instagram ahead of the ceremony on Sunday night, the British music legend wished the cast and crew of Schitt’s Creek “the best of luck” with their nominations.

Alongside his message of support, Elton John shared a pretty sweet photo of himself posing with the cast and crew of the Canadian-made TV show.
It’s not the first time he’s actually gushed about the series during an awards ceremony, either!
When Schitt’s Creek swept the Emmys last year, John praised the show’s “big Canadian heart” and described it as “an all-time favourite” of his.
He said he was particularly fond of it because he was name-checked in an episode and because he’d “found out that Daniel Levy was named after one of my songs!”
At the Golden Globes 2021, the show was nominated for Best Television Series, with Dan Levy, Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara and Annie Murphy also receiving nominations for awards in their respective categories.
O’Hara, who was born in Toronto, took home the trophy for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series and thanked both Eugene and Dan Levy for creating the show.
Dan Levy, who accepted the winning award for Best Television Series, used his acceptance speech to call for more diversity and inclusion in next year's nominations and ceremony.
