P.K. Subban Just Shared 2 Of His Favourite Plant-Based Recipes & They’re Super Easy To Make
During the peak of winter, there's one thing we can rely on to get through the cold: hearty, warm and delicious food. If you're looking for new additions to spice up your recipe rotation, former Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K Subban has shared his current favourite creations: Sizzling Beyond Sausage & Peppers and Game Day Beyond Beef Tacos.
Not only do these recipes boast tons of flavour and great texture, but they're also incredibly straightforward and fast to make — like, done-in-15-minutes quick. Each dish includes either Beyond Sausage or Beyond Beef, making both of them more nutritious options compared to standard comfort food.
The Beyond Sausage and Beyond Beef products are both made from simple plant-based ingredients without GMOs, soy or gluten. They offer a rich source of protein with 16-18g per serving, less saturated fat than animal meat and no cholesterol, antibiotics or hormones. Plus, you can easily find these products in the fresh meat section of your local grocery store.
Beyond Meat makes it easy for flexitarians like P.K., meat-eaters and vegans alike to enjoy the delicious taste of their favourite dishes in a way that’s better for their health and the environment, no sacrifice required.
P.K. may have said it best himself: "It’s all about finding balance. My Beyond Sausage and Peppers recipe is perfect for when I want to spice things up. The first thing for me is taste, and when you realize what Beyond Meat offers in nutrition, it’s a no-brainer."
Including more plant-based protein in your diet is a way to help positively impact your health, climate change, constraints on natural resources, and animal welfare. That's why these meaty alternatives are an excellent choice for your next meal.
Many professional athletes, including P.K. Subban, believe that a plant-based diet can help improve their performance and extend their careers. Some have reported feeling faster and stronger while experiencing less inflammation since they introduced these new sources of protein to their regular meals.
