We've all hosted or been to a movie night at least once in our lives, it's the perfect way to spend an evening with your boo or your friends, after all. Unfortunately, not all of us had the luxury of experiencing a movie night outdoors, on a blanket, snuggled up with your favorite people to stay warm. Houston's movie nights on Discovery Green is giving every Houstonian the opportunity to do just that, starting this month.
Bank of America's Screen on the Green starts Thursday, December 19 with a screening of a Christmas classic, A Christmas Story.
Each screening will begin at 7 p.m., though arriving early to find the best spot is recommended.
You'll also want to arrive early to grab refreshments. Food, beer, and wine will all be available for purchase on-site from The Lake House.
A Dog's Way Home, Toy Story 4, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse, Sixteen Candles, Pokémon Detective Pikachu, and Footloose will be shown in that order on the following Thursdays.
Considering that the event is free to attend, you'll definitely want to make it out every Thursday!
Contests and other activities will be taking place at Discovery Green each night the screenings take place, so arrive even earlier if you'd like to participate in those.
We doubt you'll be missing out on attending at least one screening, but in case you need even more convincing, Discovery Green has tons going on for the holidays right now.
Ice skating, art displays, and festivals are already taking place and will continue to do so throughout the following months.
If you ask us, it's a great time to be a Houstonian.
