The law library at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor is a step out of the real world and a huge leap into the world of magic. Tour guides will often tell prospective students that the Harry Potter filmmakers considered using this building in the movie. Even though that's not true, it just takes one look inside to see how that rumor got started. 

This historic building, formally known as the Legal Research Library, opened in 1931 and was modeled after impressive Gothic-era structures.

The Curwood Castle is located in Owosso, Michigan and the inside of the building has been converted into a museum that covers the story of the castle & its previous owner, James Oliver Curwood.
