Before I begin, let me start by saying that Vancouver is pretty damn great. It's named one of the most liveable cities for a reason. From incredibly clean air to freaking AMAZING sushi, we're super lucky to even have the chance to live here. 

But as with every city, there are some things that suck about Vancouver. They may not be the absolute worst things in the world...but I know there are some things that can be pretty frustrating about living here. If you disagree, that's cool. But I know most of you will relate.

We are quite privileged here in Vancouver. We can live in any terrain we like, have access to some of the best schools and healthcare in the world, and have all this beautiful wildlife surrounding us in every direction!

Downtown Vancouver is pretty damn small. But considering it's size, we've got quite an eclectic mix of people from different parts of downtown.

Now, I could be totally wrong about the city. You might live in downtown and think I know nothing about the city. But from my experience, I've definitely noticed a few trends here and there.

For those of you who have never tried it, paddle boarding is super fun. It's not quite as easy as it looks though. You have to get used to balancing, but because it is usually pretty calm around Vancouver, there are lots of great places to learn. Getting out on the water for a day of paddling is great exercise as well as very meditative. Not to mention you will also get a great tan.

There are several places you can rent a paddle board for the day or just a few hours. One of the more reputable companies is Vancouver Water Adventures. They'll hook you up with a top-notch stand up board for $30 for two hours. Some other companies to check out are Windsure, Ecomarine, and WazSUP. After you get a board, head to any of these incredible spots for an amazing day of paddling:
