In a series of tweets on March 2, Justin Trudeau confirmed that federal funding would be put aside to help workers in the arts get more opportunities and support “for years to come.”

The Government of Ontario recently announced they will invest millions in 'wearable contact tracing technology' that could help stop the spread of COVID-19.

In a news release issued February 18, the government pledged more than $2 million to a company called Facedrive Inc. to make thousands of devices to alert workers of individuals they've been near who have tested positive for COVID-19.

A new report from a Canadian research institute says that there are billions of dollars of Ontario COVID-19 money that haven't been allocated yet.

According to the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA), Ontario has over $6 billion in unallocated COVID-19 contingency funds — about $5 billion more than any other reported province.

A scathing letter from Toronto teachers and education workers says the province should shut down all Toronto schools in the new year to prevent a Christmas bump in cases.

The letter, written by the OSSTF Toronto Teachers Bargaining Unit and addressed from all Toronto teachers, also calls on the province to extend its program of funding asymptomatic testing in schools on a regular basis.
