Saint Patrick's Day festivities have become all the same no matter where you live, they all have lots of green and even more drinking. What many people may not know is that every year Mansfield, Texas, changes things up a bit by throwing the Mansfield Pickle Parade, not far from DFW! This pickle festival near Dallas Fort-Worth will soon become your yearly tradition. After all, it's a pretty big dill.
This is the world's only St. Paddy's Pickle Parade and this year will be it's ninth!
Mansfield, if you didn't know, is the pickle capital of Texas. So it's completely fitting that something like this is taking place here.
On Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14, Historic Downtown Mansfield will be transformed and serving up all things green.
From the parade itself to the pickle runs, queens, and palooza, you'll most definitely get your sour fix.
There'll be 50+ vendors to shop and eat from, so come prepared!
This event is totally and completely free to attend, all you have to do is show up. We're still a few months out, but if you visit their website you can sign up for updates via email.
And don't worry, that crazy mascot you see in all sorts of pictures will totally be there, and you can't leave until you've gotten a picture with him!
Come in green or don't be seen.
