So if you're a Pad Thai lover like myself, or you've never tried it before, then here are the best options for you. These are 11 best restaurants in Ottawa that will make all of your Pad Thai dreams come true:
Talay Thai // 511 Bank Street
Talay Thai has the option to dine-in or take-out, which already makes this restaurant amazing. They serve lunch and dinner, and their lunch options are cheaper for those who are on a budget. And for the large portion of Pad Thai that you get for such a good price, you'll be amazed at how delicious it is.
Siam Bistro // 1268 Wellington Street West
Siam Bistro has been in Ottawa for 10 years, so clearly they're doing something right. They use fresh ingredients, so you'll know exactly what's going into your delicious Pad Thai. The owner used to conduct Thai cooking lessons, which means she's definitely a pro at Thai cuisine.
Aiyara Thai Cuisine // 1590 Walkley Road
First off, Aiyara Thai Cuisine delivers, so bonus points to them. They have a huge variety of options on their menu, however, the Pad Thai is still the most delicious on the menu. I mean, they give you a cutout heart with it. I think that says enough.
Royal Thai // 311 Dalhousie Street
Royal Thai is in the heart of the ByWard Market, so there is no excuse to not try it. There are two sides to the menu with this restaurant–one being Royal Thai and the other being Palais Imperial. So if you're feeling both Thai and Chinese cuisine, then you'll be able to enjoy Pad Thai as well as dim sum in the same restaurant. Perfect for people who can't decide where they want to eat ;).
Green Papaya // Multiple Locations
The greatest thing about Green Papaya is that they have locations all over the city, including Gatineau! They offer a takeout menu as well, but their restaurant is so cute you'll want to dine-in. A lot of their dishes they can make vegetarian as well, including the Pad Thai. However, not matter what, you'll fall in love with their Pad Thai. I would say it's in the top for best in the city!
Khoa Thai // 103 Murray Street
This may look like your traditional Pad Thai, however, there are two different options you can choose from. The first one is adding shrimp, which is obviously no big deal. But the second one will blow your mind. For $16, you can get your Pad Thai wrapped in an omelete. Mind blowing, and probably so damn delicious too.
Pho Thi Fusion // 129 Riocan Avenue
Now this is what I'm talking about. This is my personal favourite place to get Pad Thai, as well as any other Thai cuisine. They recently just remodeled their menu and it's better than ever. Even if your date doesn't like Pad Thai, they're for sure going to love whatever else they choose on the menu.
Sabai Thai Cuisine // 4055 Carling Avenue
Sabai Thai Cuisine is an adorable restaurant in Kanata that promises that they can make most of their dishes vegetarian. They use quality ingredients as well, and that's why their Pad Thai looks and tastes unreal.
Sukhothai Restaurant // 2134 Robertson Road
Sukhothai Restaurant wants you to not only experience Thai food, but the Thai culture. Their restaurant has an elegant Thai atmosphere but their food is truly where it's at. Not only is their food amazing, but the presentation is also on point as well.
Silver Spoon Thai Cuisine // 1775 Carling Avenue
Silver Spoon Thai Cuisine is a great place to go if you want a large portion for a great price. You can mix and match what proteins you want in your dish, or you can keep it vegetarian. They're open for lunch and dinner and offer great lunch specials as well.
