Toronto Pan Am 2015 has been going strong for the past two weeks, but like all good things, it must come to an end. However, just like the phenomenal opening there is still a lot in store for the closing ceremonies, besides just the highly-publicized billing of Kanye West, which all the while should be incredible to see, even if he isn't a homegrown artist.

The closing festivities are this Sunday, July 26, and feature countless different events and activities, that are sure to be a great time. Things kick-off at 2:00 pm at Nathan Phillips Square with the ongoing PANAMANIA Live concert series featuring artists Sergio Mendes (you may recognize this tune from the original Austin Powers), Calypso Rose with Kobo Town, and Ontario Steel Pan. Where would you like to see the #TORONTOsign take up permanent residence in the city? John Tory wants to know. Early this morning our mayor posted a video to his personal Twitter account asking the city to tweet him using the hashtag #TORONTOsign to let him know where we want to see the Pan Am instalment, currently on display in Nathan Phillips Square, take up residence at the end of the year.

The city wasted no time letting him know their thoughts. It wasn't long before the hashtag became the top trending topic in Canada.

While we await official word from the Pan American Games host committee this morning, rumours are afloat that the closing ceremonies will feature none other than Kanye West. The press conference will be held at 10 30am and will feature an official announcement on who the committee have found to act as their 'headline talent.'

The ceremony will be held later this month, on the 26th of July, at The Rogers Centre and will feature music as organized by Live Nation Entertainment. Live Nation is our city's leading concert provider and they are said to have booked some top Canadian and International musical acts for the event.

Tomorrow morning's commute may have been salvaged in the form of a cape-wearing Toronto radio DJ, otherwise known as the #HOVHero.

We already told you about how you could pay $55 for two young men to hitch a ride in your car so that you can make use of the new 3-person minimum carpool lanes, but now you can save that money and buy yourself something pretty. Popular Toronto radio station, 99.9 Virgin Radio's, morning show, Tucker In The Morning will be sending out fellow on-air personality, Dames Nellas and a friend, to hop in your car with you.
