On Monday, April 19, a Rogers outage hit customers across Canada with service interruptions for both wireless phone and data services.
The provider took to Twitter to confirm that "some wireless customers are experiencing an intermittent service interruption for wireless voice and data services," noting that their team is working to restore service as soon as possible.

A post on their RogersHelps Twitter account directed customers to a community forum for updates.
The most recent post noted that the status of the service interruption is "ongoing."
"In most cases, your services will restore automatically. However, if you’re still having trouble using your services, try rebooting your equipment," the post said.

The impacts of the Rogers outage
If you're a Rogers customer who is impacted by the service interruption, you will notice that you have no service bars on your mobile device and no "3G" or "LTE" symbol indicating that you have data services.
In Rogers' most recent tweet, they noted that "residential & business wireline internet services aren't impacted."
Therefore, the outage specifically impacts wireless phone and data services. If you're within wifi, you may not have noticed the outage when it comes to your internet or online messaging services like iMessage on iPhones.
There is not yet an update as to when service will resume, though Rogers continues to assure customers that they are working to fix the situation as soon as they can.
