Just as the weather was starting to get better, it's about to get worse. With all this heavy wind we've been experiencing this week, it probably isn't much of a surprise. According to Environment Canada, most of Southern Ontario will be expecting a significant amount of rain this weekend.

The rain will continue Saturday through Sunday afternoon and it may be heavy at certain points. Approximately 20 to 40 millimetres is expected to fall over central and eastern Ontario, and there's a risk of thunderstorms. It's almost July, for goodness' sake.

There's no better way to close out Pride Toronto this weekend than with this news from our neighbours down south. In a 5-4 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that the 14th amendment of the U.S. Constitution gives gay people the right to marry in all 50 states and to recognize marriages that were lawfully performed outside of state.

Gay marriage is already legal in 37 of the 50 states, but as of today, all 50 states in the U.S. will recognize love in all of its forms. Canada became the fourth country in the world and the first country outside Europe, to legalize same-sex marriage nationwide on July 20th, 2005, almost 10 years ago.
