Ontario's weather forecast is predicting a nasty start to fall weather this week with seasonal temperatures being drowned out by heavy downpours.

According to The Weather Network, Ontarians won't be catching any of those late-summer vibes that the weekend gave us. Monday is expected to reach daytime temperatures of only 17 C in the GTA and a series of scattered showers will keep things soggy.

Environment Canada has issued 32 special weather statements in the region, calling for thunderstorms and heavy rainfall throughout the day. Almost every region will be impacted, from Windsor-Essex to Ottawa to Algonquin and everywhere in between.

Batten down the hatches! Due to the remnants of Hurricane Sally, Canada is in for heavy rainfall on the east coast and parts of Newfoundland could see more than 100 millimetres come down. If that's not bad enough, Hurricane Teddy could make landfall in the Maritimes next week.

Sally is now a tropical depression but it still packs quite a punch and Atlantic Canada will be experiencing that first hand.
