If you bought side tables from Winnners, Home Sense, or Marshalls, take note, as certain models were recently recalled because of an electric shock hazard.
In a press release Wednesday, the Government of Canada advised the public of the faulty furniture that was apparently sold in 2019.
Consumers should immediately unplug the recalled side accent tables.

The side tables in question are the J Hunt Home Side Accent Tables that were sold in the three major retailers in Canada.
The report explains that the built-in 'charging receptacles/USB ports' could contain an electrical problem that may pose an electric shock hazard.
The government asked that if you own this product to immediately unplug the side table and contact Jimco Lamp and Manufacturing Company to get a refund or a furniture replacement.
"The affected products are available in three styles with either one or two drawers and in a variety of colours. The recalled side tables are labelled on the back or bottom of the unit with the affected item numbers and date codes. The affected manufacturing date codes include all date codes inclusive of the range 04/2019 to 11/2019," the report read.
The company said that 11,070 units of the affected product were sold in Canada.
As of January 22, 2021, the company did not get any reports of incidents or injuries.
