According to an MNP Consumer Debt Index report, 31% of homeowners in Ontario report being "house poor." This means after their home-related bills are paid, they don't have a lot of money left over.

A new Prime Global Cities Index by real estate agency Knight Frank ranks Toronto in the number one spot for rising prime house prices out of 46 global cities. The agency defines a "prime" property as "the most desirable and expensive property in a given location, generally defined as the top 5% of each market by value."

In a tweet on March 30, the government agency urged anyone with relevant details to get in touch, promising that all calls are anonymous and "any information provided is confidential."

The Ontario and Quebec-based grocery chain Metro has been ranked as one of North America's worst major retailers when it comes to keeping toxic chemicals out of their products and packaging.
