You Can Now Get Bowls Of Ramen Bigger Than Your Head At Soupa Saiyan In Jacksonville
There's something about a classic anime or cartoon we grew up on that fills our soul with joy; while we'll never understand why nostalgia's power level is over 9000, we're thankful it brings us awesome restaurants like Soupa Saiyan in Jacksonville.
This Dragonball Z themed noodle spot got its start in Orlando in 2016, but when we found out it was opening a new location in Jacksonville, we lost it.
They took the original shop idea and went Soupa Saiyan, adding in a whole new vibe covering their walls with manga and anime art (sometimes they even have pieces for sale), bringing in a massive Goku statue, and lighting up the space with a little neon.
It's so pretty, most can't help but take a picture when they visit.
The Dragon Ball Z noodle joint even revamped their menu to bring new items, as well as perfect fan favorites like the build your own ramen bowl.
But that's not the only fan favorite from the original Orlando location that's made it's way back onto the menu.
Now they've brought something back for only the souper-est of noodle fans, their Soupa Bowl (also known as the Kaio-ken); One Kaio-ken is the same as eating 3 bowls that are normal-sized.
You might even have to go Super Saiyan yourself to finish it. Some opt to share the bowl, but a few have been able to finish it alone.
The Kaio-ken costs $30, while a normal one ranges between $11 and $12 depending on whether or not you build your own.
Another item that started on the Orlando menu: The Ultra Instinct — an even larger soup that's the same as 5 normal bowls and costs $50.
While nothing's been announced for the Ultra Instinct coming to Jacksonville just yet, we'll be over here hoping it does.
