1. Nitobe Memorial Garden // 1895 Lower Mall
Perfect for a stroll, this garden is definitely something that you need time to take in. Each element is carefully placed, from ponds to rocks to trees, in order to create the most zen atmosphere possible.

2. Bloedel Conservatory // 4600 Cambie St
Located in Queen Elizabeth Park, the conservatory contains more than 500 different types of exotic plants, and even has birds, too!

3. VanDusen Botanical Garden // 5251 Oak St
Although it has one main garden, VanDusen also has a series of smaller, specialized gardens surrounding it. Most famous for its Christmas lights displays, this garden is also the perfect summer destination.

4. Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden // 578 Carrall St
Created by 52 different artisans, this garden is famous for being the first full classical garden to be built outside of China. Check out this tranquil spot located in the middle of busy Chinatown.

5. Queen Elizabeth Park // 4600 Cambie St
Although the Bloedel Conservatory is located on the grounds and is generally the main attraction, the rest of this park is also beautifully landscaped and worth walking through. It even has a rose garden!

6. Strathcona Community Garden // 759 Malkin Ave
You can admire this cute little garden as much as you want, but don't touch, since it is a community garden. Take a walk through and check out all the hard work people have put in to it, or maybe take a photo with the ominous piano.

7. UBC Botanical Garden // 6804 Marine Dr SW
Obviously located at UBC, this garden is home to many smaller gardens, all with different themes. Plan out your trip ahead of time to make sure you get to fit them all in.

8. Stanley Park Gardens // 610 Pipeline Rd
If you love flowers, this is the place for you. All of Stanley Park is absolutely beautiful, and this garden is no different. It's the perfect place to go for a day trip.
