Toronto Police has announced that they will be making vaccines mandatory for all of their officers.

"Vaccination against COVID-19 protects the health and safety of each of our members, our workplaces and the public we serve," Chief James Ramer said in the October 21 announcement.

On July 5, Canada's travel rules were updated to allow fully vaccinated Canadian citizens and permanent residents to skip some measures upon their arrival in Canada or upon their return. This includes the two-week quarantine period and day-eight COVID-19 test.

On Friday, June 18, Justin Trudeau explained what Canada's proof of vaccination system will look like in regards to international travel.

Speaking at a press conference, the prime minister said that "in the initial phase we're going to be working with the ArriveCAN app in ways that people can upload an image of their paper proof of vaccination or online proof of vaccination so that the border agents, on their return to Canada, can verify indeed that they are fully vaccinated."
