Manitoba police explained that an ice chunk had flown off a truck on a local highway and smashed straight through the windshield of a 68-year-old man’s car.
The man was knocked unconscious by the ice chunk, forcing the passenger to try and control the vehicle until it stopped. While the driver is in a “serious” condition, officials say he’s stable.
Manitoba RCMP used this example to remind all drivers to ensure their vehicles are clear of snow, ice and any other debris before hitting the road.
