The world continues to try to make COVID-19 vaccines more available across the globe, and pop star Selena Gomez is now joining the cause.

The singer announced that she will be hosting a virtual music event dubbed "VAX LIVE: The Concert to Reunite the World," with the goal of helping the poorest countries in the world get 2 billion COVID-19 vaccine doses by asking governments, corporations, and philanthropists to invest $22.1 billion in the Access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator.
