Ontario Top Doctor Says Moving Into Zones Doesn't Give You Permission To See Friends
As 27 health regions move into Ontario's framework on Tuesday, one top doctor is warning that it doesn't mean you can see your friends.
In a press conference, Dr. Barbara Yaffe, associate chief medical officer of health, states that you should still be staying home as much as possible.

We are not reopening the province. This is not permission to start gathering with your friends and coworkers.

Regardless of what colour zone you are in, the Ontario government states you should still be keeping your social circle small, and this means not hanging out with your pals.
"This is not the time to get complacent. I am strongly urging everybody to please continue to stay at home and limit non-essential trips," states Dr. Barbara Yaffe.
In fact, Yaffe even states that if residents start to "let loose" and not follow rules, the stay-at-home order could be put back in place.
"If we let loose we are going to see another pandemic wave and possibly worse now with the variants," she states.
"If we do start to see any concerns, we are able to go back and have the stay-at-home order and put in more measures."
However, the doctor does have hope that residents will listen to the orders and keep COVID-19 cases down this time around.
