This Hidden Floating Island Tiki Bar Near Tampa Is A Tropical Paradise

There's nothing better than going out to the beach to enjoy the Florida Sunshine, and even better if you're heading out to one of our many awesome islands. If you are looking for an island with a little something special, Pine Key has a floating tiki hut bar for you to get tipsy on.

Out in Tampa Bay, you'll find a stunning little Island known as Pine Key - also known as Beer Can Island by the locals. You'll have to launch off a nearby boat launch and navigate your way out to this little slice of paradise off the west coast of Apollo Beach.

Once there, just drop your anchor and take in the sights. You'll be greeted by some of the best scenic beach views of the bay, and the coolest little island tiki bar you'll ever see known as Tiki Bay Island.

Walk the beach surrounding the tiki bar as you get a little tipsy, enjoying all the scenic views Beer Can Island has to offer. You can even sit in your tube on the water while you enjoy your beverage or play giant Jenga with your friends!

This 2400 square foot bar was made for the water - and originally started as a completely floating bar by Gandy Beach. Eventually, Tiki Bay started to get bigger and more popular, calling for a move of their bar onto Beer Can Island.

After moving to the island, they continued to expand, creating an event stage and restroom facilities, as well as hosting events for their members and catering for island parties! Their location on the island allows them to have more people pop in and enjoy their little tiki paradise.

Even though the bar is now on the beach, it still floats! When the tide gets high and the island floods, the bar will float on the water - easily the coolest way to enjoy Tampa Bay EVER.

You'll need to purchase a membership in order to drink due to the current license Tiki Bay Island holds. Memberships are pretty affordable though - a trial 2-day membership is only $10 per person if you're not ready to commit to a yearly one.

If you see yourself being a frequent tiki head, their membership packages increase in price and amenities. A 1-year membership is only $60 and grants access to their facilities on the island and membership only catered events.

If you see yourself going for a lifetime, the $1570.70 Lifetime Membership grants you access to the bar and all the extras for as long as you live - as well as anyone you bring with you on your boat. This is cost effective for someone who plans to come often, and with their whole crew.

If you happen to be a firefighter, police officer, first responder, paramedic, educator, military personnel, 55+ years old, or an employee of a non-profit organization, you get a 25% discount off of your membership price - SCORE!
