The Juciest Watermelon Festival Is Coming Near Tampa This Summer

Are you already sweating the hot Florida weather making its comeback? Don't worry too much. The Sunshine State will soon surrender to the juicy charm of one of the cutest and refreshing fresh fruits of all: the watermelon. Tampa Bay's watermelon food festival is coming this July; with delicious, creative, sweet and savory dishes, as well as tons of fun to be had in the sun, this is one fruity fest you won't want to miss.
The mouthwatering event will take over SunWest Park, in Hudson on July 25, 2020 — less than an hour away from Tampa.
You can enjoy a whole day filled with unique activities, including a fun zone for the kids, watermelon carving contests, and plenty of watermelon-inspired dishes for you to feast on.
You'll have the opportunity to pick the best dish too. Each of the participating food vendors will craft a special watermelon culinary creation, so make sure to try them and vote for your fave.
Aside from delicious watermelon dishes, you can also enjoy classic fair-style fares such as kettle corn, burgers, shaved ice, BBQ, and more. With all that tastiness you're not likely to go home hungry.
The watermelon fest will also feature a stage with live entertainment, including a concert with funk band Smooth D and The Boyz, so don't forget your dancing shoes.
Admission tickets for adults are $4 each and kids get in for only $2. There's an additional parking fee of $5, but if you don't want to juggle with finding a space you could take an Uber or Lyft.
Since this fest will take place near a gorgeous beach, get ready to cool-off sipping fruity smoothies and munchin' on melons with ocean views while tapping your toes to some tunes.
Besides the food, activities, and fun, this festival will offer several shopping opportunities as well at their Market Space.
