Do you remember playing with chalk during your childhood? Well, just because you're older doesn't mean you still can't enjoy it! Next month Sarasota is hosting a massive chalk festival with the best street artists and you absolutely don't want to miss it.
The festival will take place on Historic Burns Square and this year's theme is called "Museum in Motion". This is not your typical Wynwood street art, the Chalk Festival is a cultural event that brings renowned world artists to use the pavement on South Pineapple Avenue and use it as their canvas. Here you will see oversized masterpieces with streets filled with beautiful colors.
During three days, artists will create the best art pavement while guests take a stroll during the night. The event will run from April 5-7 from 8 am to 9 pm. Guests will have the opportunity to take pictures and indulge in wine tasting. This festival is so interactive and most of the paintings look 3D and use optical illusions to bring them to life.
The Sarasota Chalk Festival is named as the most important pavement art event in the world. The festival will feature food trucks, beer gardens, and the pavement Music Festival. Scroll down to see the most wonderful painting created in previous years:
