You Can Take An Enchanting Horseback Ride On The Beach In St. Pete

Enjoy the beach, but on horseback!
Things To Do In St. Pete Include Magical Horseback Rides On The Beach

There are so many amazing things to do in the Sunshine State from tubing endless spring runs to unique bars and even exploring hidden abandoned pieces of Florida History. While St. Petersburg is known for its bars & nightlife, if you're looking for things to do in St. Pete you may be surprised to see that you can actually go for a magical horseback ride on the beach.

CPonies in St. Petersburg offers one of the most enchanting horseback experiences around. According to the information on their website, the beach tour will take you on a ride through The Bay, with the Skyway Bridge backdropping your adventure.

Guests will have the chance to ride a rescued Gypsy or Drum horse on the beach, wading through the water, & taking a dip in the ocean with them. Imagine if they offered the opportunity to ride into the sunset with magical colors sweeping across the sky.

Rides run at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., & noon, each lasting about an hour in length. The price for the beachy horseback experience is $150 per person, with a $9 booking fee. They also offer an optional photo package for $25 that includes pics for 2 riders; however, if you're good with your phone's camera you can snap your own stunning shots on your adventure.

Rides are by reservation only, with limited spots in each time slot. Children under 10 cannot participate & all guests are provided with a helmet & life jacket for safety purposes. CPonies recommends booking your ride online days in advance to ensure a spot as they tend to fill up quickly, providing the meeting location after you book.

According to CPonies, 95% of the horses have been rescued from environments of neglect & abuse, overbreeding, or had terrible skin conditions. Each horse is rehabilitated & treated with love before becoming a rideable CPony. The owner believes that the love from the trainers, guests, as well as the ocean's waves,  heal these gentle creatures & their souls — touching each guest's life as horses bond with riders.

Just seeing how happy these ponies are playing in the water is too stinkin' cute.

Your ride helps fund the rehabilitation of their rescues, with the hopes of rescuing and saving many more of these majestic breeds of horse in the years to come.

This is bound to be a beautiful experience that you'll never forget. Cponies also offers a $140 St. Pete ride that does not include swimming with the horses, as well as rides in Bradenton for the same price. We think we just found our next anniversary date idea.
