You Can Watch "Hocus Pocus" Under the Stars For Free This Month In Tampa
When it comes to holiday traditions, most of us probably think about what we do for Christmas; but some of us love the spooky season most & ring it in by binging on our favorite Halloween Cult Classics. What would make it even better? Watching a movie under the stars; you can actually watch Disney's Hocus Pocus for free under the stars In Tampa later this month.
Hocus Pocus was one of those flicks that seriously cast a spell on us in our youth, and still to this day we love the magical flick. The cooky Sanderson Sisters & their shenanigans against Max & the gang drew us in with their lovable oaf approach to evil-doings, and Bette Midler's performance as head honcho Winifred Sanderson enchanted us with her rendition of "I Put A Spell On You".
Most of us agree that it's not really Halloween until you've watched this movie. Even though it was all magic, broomsticks, & witchery that engrossed us back in the day, watching the movie through an adult lens sprinkles the fairy dust of nostalgia into our hearts and creates a new type of appreciation for the film and its Halloween Magic.
Thankfully we have a chance to rewatch the flick for free this month, without sitting through hours of commercials on Disney Channel or purchasing the movie outright. This might be one of those times where we can get away with Hocus Pocusin' ourselves into the event in full costume.
The movie will be played on the lawn at Armature Works in Tampa on October 28th, which is home to tons of awesome vendors & bars, even a secret rooftop bar that made our hidden bars bucket list is here and definitely worth checking out while you're in the area.
Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket and sprawl out under the stars to enjoy the classic flick with their babe or boo. The movie is completely free & will start at 7 p.m., with popcorn, witches brews (alcohol & non-alcoholic beverages), & other snacks available for purchase from any of the 15 vendors inside of Heights Public Market. No outside food or drink is allowed.
