Why You Need To Go: There's no better way to celebrate springtime than getting lost in endless wildflower fields. Since it was named the Official Texas Bluebonnet Trail, Ennis is the perfect small town to do so and is located less than 40 minutes away from Dallas. If you visit in April, you can attend the Bluebonnet Festival.

Grandbury

Why You Need To Go: It's perfect for a day trip or even a weekend getaway from the DFW area on Spring Break. With a population of around 8,000, this cute tiny town has festivals and special events almost every weekend. Also, Lake Granbury is excellent for fishing, swimming, and boating.

Glen Rose

Why You Need To Go: If you are looking for an adventure next spring, this cute small town will please you a lot. Glen Rose's prehistoric attractions Dinosaur Valley State Park and Dinosaur World are a must-visit, as is Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, a very Texan African-style Safari.

West

Why You Need To Go: This small city near Dallas is recognized as the Czech Heritage Capital of Texas. Make a foodie stop in your road trip and taste some pillow-like pastries with your favorite filling at the local bakeries. Too yummy to miss.

Georgetown

Why You Need To Go: Springtime means blooming flowers. If you love them, you'll love to visit Georgetown and its Red Poppy Festival. The city also has other events this spring, such as a hot air balloon festival.

Marble Falls

Fredericksburg

Why You Need To Go: With strong European influence and architecture, this Texan town is a jewel, perfect for a spring getaway among girlfriends. You can also go ahead and explore the biggest wildflower farm in the country. Too cute.

Luckenbach

Why You Need To Go: All of those country music and cowboy boot lovers may find a paradise in this traditional and adorable small town. You'll feel like if you were transported back to the Wild West.

Dripping Springs
