Could love be in the air for Clare? Earlier today, ABC announced their new pick for the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, Clare Crawley. Although it was a controversial choice, many people are excited to see how Crawley takes on this upcoming quest for love.
Crawley is no stranger to Bachelor Nation. Us Weekly reports that the 38-year-old got her start on Juan Pablo’s season of The Bachelor back in 2014, where she famously told him off for not proposing after she came in second place.
After that, the hairstylist went on to compete in the first-ever season of Bachelor in Paradise, although she left the island in week five. Crawley returned for another shot at love in season two of the hit series but was eliminated during week three.
Since the third time wasn’t the charm, Us Weekly reports that the Sacramento, California-native also appeared on Bachelor Winter Games in 2018. She left the show single but was proposed to by former Bachelorette Canada contestant Benoit Beausejour-Savard at the reunion.
According to Bustle, the engagement between Crawley and her Montreal-born beau only lasted a little over a month before they decided to call it quits back in 2018.
After the big news about The Bachelorette was announced today, Beausejour-Savard took to his Instagram page to share a sweet congratulatory message to his ex.
“Congratulations to this gem!! She will be an amazing Bachelorette. She is smart, fun, strong, knows what she wants and most importantly, she will call out the guys messing around!! Hell yeah!! Good Luck on your journey to find love @clarecrawley !! You will be the best 🙌🏼 #thebestbacheloretteever,” the 33-year old wrote.
Crawley’s season is set to begin filming ASAP and will premiere on May 18, 2020, per Us Weekly.
While we wait to see the new Bachelorette try her fifth shot at love, be sure to catch the finale of Peter Weber’s dramatic season of The Bachelor on March 9 and 10. You can also keep busy with the premiere of the new musical spin-off The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart on April 13.
