The Best, Worst, And Weirdest Commercials From This Year's Super Bowl LII

Happy post-Super Bowl! Whether you are a sports fan or not, the Super Bowl is always a great time to sit back and eat an obscene amount of chips and dip while watching the game the commercials. It's the one day of the year many, even sports fans themselves (though they'll never admit it) look forward to seeing which commercials will be playing in between the game. So let's recap the good, the bad and the ugly that made their way onto our TV screens in between broody close up shots of Tom Brady.

Hands down the best ad from yesterday was Kylie's baby video! SO cute! While the world collectively kind knew she was pregnant, we all ended up glued to our phone screens for 11 straight minutes trying to figure out why we are all suddenly so emotionally invested in a famous girl's pregnancy.

Okay I was kidding, let's actually start. First of all the Alexa commercial was totally inspired by a meme so let's give credit where it's due, Amazon. Otherwise though, it was absolutely genius to add in other celebs and was hilarious to watch:

very close second was the Tide commercial starring our favourite angsty small town cop, David Harbour. Whoever is in charge of making laundry detergent seem fun and cool over at Tide needs a raise ASAP because this ad was insanely good:

Then we've got all of the movie trailers (which were all AMAZING and I'm still reeling from). There were a ton that paid top dollar to find their way onto our TV screens last night in between the game. From the new Han Solo spinoff to Marvel: Avengers and HBO's huge TV success, Westworld. It's safe to say 2018 is going to be a big year for movie and TV lovers:

I'm going to be honest here, Peter Dinklage was the least funny part of the Doritos commercial that graced our screens yesterday. Though something about Missy Elliot's voice coming out of Morgan Freeman's body was quite possibly one of the funniest things I have ever witnessed.

On the more weird end, a ton of people in the United States witnessed a Scientology commercial.. yea as in that religion where they think some alien called "Lord Zenon" rose out of a volcano to become a god (?) (or something along those lines, the alternative is equally as ridiculous).

So there were the best, the worst and the weird that we saw yesterday at the Super Bowl! As always companies pulled out all the stops for the sports world's biggest day and we can't say we aren't impressed. Here's hoping next year's batch are just as entertaining!
