'The Kissing Booth 2' Release Date Was Just Announced & You Won't Believe How Soon It Is

Love is in the air! After over two years of waiting, we finally get to see what’s next for Elle Evans in The Kissing Booth 2. In a video recently posted to YouTube, the film’s stars revealed some big news about the upcoming film.

In The Kissing Booth, we were introduced to Elle and her best friend Lee, who just so happens to have a super hot older brother named Noah that Elle’s been crushing on forever. Elle and Noah sparked a relationship behind Lee’s back, which ultimately resulted in a rift in their friendship.

By the end of the film, the two best friends were able to make up, and Elle and Noah lived happily ever after—until he went off to college, that is.

According to Just Jared, the sequel, which will drop on July 24, will take place after Elle and Noah’s super romantic summer together, as he heads off to Harvard and she begins her senior year of high school.

While dealing with the woes of a long-distance relationship, Elle finds her life filled with college applications, and thoughts of her cute new friend and classmate, Marco.

With temptation sitting so close, Elle begins debating where her heart truly lies.

Recently, Joey King (who plays Elle) hosted a YouTube live along with her castmates where they spilled major secrets about the upcoming film, including the exciting news that it will be released later this summer.

Joel Courtney (Super 8), Taylor Zakhar Perez (Scandal), and Maisie Richardson-Sellers (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) were all a part of the announcement too and can be seen in the upcoming movie.

The streaming service recently released its lineup for the month of June, revealing that we have plenty of brand new documentaries, teen dramas, hilarious comedies, and addicting reality TV on the way over the coming weeks.
