Netflix's 'The Kissing Booth' Sequel Has Added 2 New Actors And We Already Love Them

Ah, teen romance movies. Whether you love them or love to hate them, odds are good they never fail to give you a burst of nostalgia that takes you back to your first crush, or your first kiss. As of late, Netflix has been putting out a ton of teen romance movies that are surprisingly lovable, like To All The Boys I've Loved Before and The Last Summer. Another Netflix film people loved is The KissingBooth, and you may have heard that a sequel is in the works! The Kissing Booth 2 on Netflix welcomes new cast members.

The cast of the original film left little to be desired - Joey King and Jacob Elordi had seriously great on-screen chemistry, and Joel Courtney made the PERFECT Lee Flynn, but these new additions to the cast are going to have you even more excited for the upcoming sequel.

Earlier today, Joey King posted the above photo to her Instagram story of her and Joel welcoming two new members to The Kissing Booth family. Their names are Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Taylor Perez, and we can guarantee you're going to love them already.

Maisie has previously been featured in DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Of Kings and Prophets, but The Kissing Booth 2 is one of her first major roles. She's 27 years old and was born in the U.K. - she even attended the University of Oxford!

Taylor Perez is not only seriously good looking (watch out Noah Centineo 😉), but is also a talented actor! He's been seen on shows like Scandal, Awkward., and even iCarly! He was born in Chicago's southside and found his love of acting through musical theatre, which eventually progressed into film and television.

A lot of details about The Kissing Booth 2 have yet to be released, but we know that Maisie will be playing a new "friend" for Flynn while he's off at college, and Taylor will be playing a new love interest for Elle as she tries to navigate her feelings for Flynn due to the long-distance of their relationship.

The new film is based on The Kissing Booth 2: Going the Distance novel by Beth Reekles, although it won't be released until January of 2020. No release date has been set for the film yet, but we're anticipating late 2019 or early 2020.
