This year, Netflix blessed us with a ton of movies as part of its Christmas movie line up for 2019 and users are already stoked as we head into November and they start premiering every week. For some reason, Vanessa Hudgens does an amazing job at starring in Christmas movies, which was evidenced last year in her movie The Princess Switch. Her double duty role playing two identical women was so heartwarming and Netflix users have been dying for more. Well in a recent announcement, The Princess Switch sequel on Netflix Canada was confirmed which will definitely excite you.

Netflix users already proved they love TV shows and movies where actors star in content involving twins, as evidenced by Paul Rudd's Living With Yourself which blew up immediately after the premiere

But Hudgens will be playing triple duty this time around, as she will still play both roles of Stacey De Novo and Lady Margaret, and is hopping on as producer too.

In the first movie, De Novo is an American baker who visits a made-up country called Belgravia for a Christmas baking competition with her beau and his daughter. While she's there, she meets Lady Margaret, who appears to be her long lost identical twin. When they both discover they would love to have each other's lifestyles, they decide to make their wishes come true and actually switch lives (and outfits and accents). Of course, since it's a love story, there is romance involved and each woman ends up accidentally falling for her twin's man.

If you missed the original movie last year, check out the trailer for it below.

The sequel will continue the same storyline with an added twist. According to the See What's Next Twitter account, they shared news of the new movie and wrote, "In the sequel, Duchess Margaret unexpectedly inherits the throne & hits a rough patch with Kevin so it’s up to Stacy to save the day before a new lookalike — party girl Fiona — foils their plans".

There is currently no release date but hopefully, it makes it in time for Christmas 2020 to satisfy our holiday loving hearts. If you can't wait that long to see Hudgens on screen, then look no further than her new Christmas movie, The Knight Before Christmas, which will premier on Netflix Canada on November 21.
