'The Valhalla Murders' Is Netflix Canada's Newest Chilling Murder Mystery Series
Ready to brush up on your crime-solving skills? If yes, The Valhalla Murders on Netflix Canada is the perfect place for you to start. The new series is an Icelandic murder mystery that follows an ambitious detective, and it will have you hooked from the very first episode.
The show introduces us to Arnar, a police profiler who has just returned to Iceland after working in Oslo, Norway. Upon arriving home, Arnar finds himself tasked with attempting to solve a string of horrendous murders that have come from the hands of Iceland’s first serial killer.
With so much on his plate, Arnar requires some assistance, which comes from a local police officer named Kata. Unfortunately, the two don’t exactly get along well, but they are able to work together to uncover haunting secrets about recent events.
As it turns out, the ongoing murders have actually been going on for decades, making the case far more difficult than anyone had anticipated.
The Valhalla Murders stars Aldis Amah Hamilton (Vultures), Bergur Ebbi Benediktsson (Dovetail), Edda Björgvinsdóttir (Let Me Fall), Gunnar Bersi Björnsson (Love On Iceland), and Nína Dögg Filippusdóttir (Graves & Bones), among others.
The series was released on Netflix on March 13, but viewers are already raving about how addicting it is.

Seeing as the series comes from Iceland, it is in Icelandic so you’ll either have to watch with subtitles or listen to an English dub if you really want to understand what’s going on, but people seem to love the show regardless.
